Greers Ferry Dam is three miles northeast of Heber Springs on Highway 25. The dam is 243 feet high and 1,704 feet wide, forming a lake 50 miles long with a surface area of 40,000 acre. The dam was dedicated by president John F. Kennedy in October 1963.
